For over 30 years, David Ross has been teaching, performing, and entertaining in a variety of settings. During that time, he has worked with hundreds of students of all ages and walks of life and has worked to develop their creative sense, their confidence, and their inner musician.
Born into a long family line of pianists, conductors, performers, and composers, David’s education includes 25 years of formal piano study, as well as several years of voice and classical percussion training. He holds a B.A. in Music Composition from the University of California at Berkeley, as well as a Certificate of Songwriting from U.C.L.A.
As a composer and singer/songwriter, David’s songs and compositions have been performed throughout the United States, as well as internationally in Canada, Mexico, Russia, France, Australia, and Israel. His music combines elements of rock, pop, folk, new age and jazz to create a mix of eclectic and engaging music.
Over the years, David has worked for several organizations in a variety of roles, including Music, Cultural Arts, Theatre and Business Director, soloist and accompanist. He has arranged, directed, or performed in over 80 musical theatre productions and has performed in several bands and ensembles.
David is a member of the Music Teachers National Association, the Colorado State Music Teachers Association, the Denver Area Music Teachers Association, and is co-founder of the Northeast Denver Music Teacher’s Group.
David teaches in the Central Park neighborhood of Northeast Denver, where he lives with his wife and 2 children.
